Do cannabis rules differ by city or neighborhood?
State law is the same everywhere in the county. What differs is local: each city decides whether to allow stores, when they may open and who may deliver. Inside a city the rules are the same in every neighborhood, and only the geography changes.
Which San Diego neighborhoods have dispensaries?
Of the 29 San Diego neighborhoods covered here, 11 have licensed stores: Mission Valley (6), City Heights (3), Kearny Mesa (3), Midway District (3), Mira Mesa (3), Sorrento Valley (3), Linda Vista (2), San Ysidro (2), Barrio Logan (1), Otay Mesa (1) and Pacific Beach (1). The other 18 have none. The City of San Diego limits outlets to four per Council District, 36 citywide, and allows them only in certain zones.
